Before I came to GT Hiring Solutions my life was very different. I had lost my partner and from that point on my life began a down hill slide. Eventually I found myself with a nasty addiction to Heroin, without work, without housing, and without any hope for the future. I believed deep down that I would one day kick my habit but could not imagine how I would be able to accomplish this.

            There were several parts of GT Hiring Solutions service that helped me and that made life easier, but the service that stood out the most for me was the Sukhi Lalli Care Clinic. I was initially referred to help me deal with my addiction, Sukhi Lalli set me up with a doctor who was familiar with treating people suffering from my addiction and I began receiving the appropriate treatment to assist me to stop using. I have also received ongoing detox-treatments, counseling and support. I feel that it was Sukhi Lalli’s services which helped me to firstly address my addiction and also gave me the strength and courage to continue my rehabilitation and increase my independence.

            Now I have stable housing again, I am working part time and I have a positive outlook for the future. I no longer use heroin or any drugs and no longer have urges to numb the pain of my past through drug use. I know that I still have a long way to go before I consider myself a success, but I believe I am now on my way and I am proud of all that I have overcome.
